About Me

My name is Christina Leikam and I am a graphic artist/web designer living in beautiful Portland, Oregon USA. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that I was going to begin building websites for a living and even more that I would love it. I had spent 15 years working in the restaurant industry and had worked up to the nirvana of that field, fine dining. I loved my work. It was the perfect job for a socialite like me. When Mr. Right came along and we decided to have children I kept working on through my 6 month of pregnancy and then was injured in a car accident. My career at that restaurant was over.

My husband suggested that I learn about computers. Up until that point in my life the most interaction I had with computers was the point of sale system in the restaurant I worked for. I thought computers were a major waste of time and really didn’t understand why the world was so excited over them. When my Mom upgraded to a new computer she decided to give me her old one. I hooked it up to the internet through a dial-up connection. That was the moment I realized that this was my future. I went to used book stores close to colleges to read computer text books. I joined graphics groups and learned how to draw and animate graphics. As time went on I found myself taking more tutorials, buying and reading more books and upgrading my hardware and software to the most current technology.

I began building websites and getting small projects working for various companies and as the amount of work grew and my reputation spread I started WaGooh Graphics & Web Design. Since its inception WaGooh Graphics and Web Design has steadily grown. I now not only build top of the line websites that draw traffic but I have been hired to analyze sites for companies who work with some of the largest corporations in America. I believe in the old adage “If a job is worth doing; it’s worth doing right.” In web design that means your site must look great; quickly convey your message in keeping with your companies market position; and attract traffic. I stay on the leading edge of design and technological development to insure that clients get the most out of their investment

Service and results are what people pay for whether it’s in the restaurant or web design business. I’ve had the good fortune to learn from some of the world’s best designers and builders and I’d love to talk with you to see if I can help you too. Call me or drop me an email and maybe we can help solve your problems.

WaGooh Graphics and Web Design is committed to continued learning and working hard doing something we totally love!
